Business gas emergencies

A good business owner will always make sure that the building occupied and any equipment used undergo routine maintenance, at least once a year. While this is intended to avoid faults later on, there are certain times things will go wrong. This is especially true for business gas, so you have to have a plan of action on place.

If you are smelling gas, the first thing you should do is open all the windows so that the building can be properly ventilated. Check for any danger signs around the appliance and switch it off. Turn off the gas supply at the main switch, and call the gas safety number. If you are experiencing any symptoms like dizziness or drowsiness you should report to your doctor immediately. Get a registered gas safety engineer to assess the appliance before reusing it.

Be prepared for business gas emergencies to avoid any unnecessary drama later on.
