The Deaf Studies Trust is a research led charity.
It carries out innovative research and development projects with external funding and special contracts. It does not have an internal budget and is not able to fund projects from its own reserves.
It aims to keep overheads as low as is consistent with good management and support.
DST co-operates with other agencies in research, notably the Centre for Deaf Studies in the University of Bristol.
The primary focus has been and will continue to be, the Deaf community.
